Learning Objectives
Georgia’s Student Bill of Rights guarantees every student access to a 21st-century education, including computer science, STEM/STEAM, and career and technical education aligned to their interests and passions. The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) brings this vision to life by committing to graduating students who are “ready to learn, ready to live, and ready to lead.”
But what does this mean in the everyday classroom?
Georgia schools prepare students for tomorrow’s careers. Combining project-based learning with high-quality, standards-aligned STEM/STEAM education not only makes learning more engaging and relevant, but also imparts the skills students need to succeed in STEM roles. This approach drives active learning, where students tackle real-world problems and create innovative solutions through project-based learning.
Starting STEM education early builds a strong foundation for long-term success. It allows students to engage in authentic learning experiences and develop critical workplace skills. As they advance, they gain hands-on experience with the technology shaping today’s STEM fields of today and the future.
Let’s work together to ignite curiosity and passion in tomorrow’s innovators.
SmartLab Learning In Georgia
To prepare learners for the 21st century workplace, the Georgia Department of Education has made a strong commitment to furthering STEM and Career and Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) initiatives throughout the state. SmartLab students prepare for future pathways through age-appropriate STEM exposure and project-based learning.
Each student builds both agency and collaboration skills by developing solutions to real-world challenges alongside a partner.
The result is a balanced, sustainable STEM initiative that fuels your CTAE program for generations.
