MidAmerica Industrial Park Provides Funding for Area SmartLab HQs

Written by Bill Laurienti

MidAmerica Industrial Park (MAIP) in Pryor, OK has joined a growing list of corporate and private foundations providing funding for SmartLab HQs in their community schools.

MAIP is the largest industrial park in the state and is home to more than 80 companies—from small manufacturing and service enterprises to global leaders like Google.

MAIP has committed $1.2 million to fund SmartLab HQs (STEM labs) in five local school districts.

“Our goal is to create a pipeline of highly trained workers who possess the skills, attitude and characteristics needed by our employers,” said Dave Stewart, Chief Administrative Officer for MAIP.
