When learning is intentionally designed around meaningful experiences, students develop far more than academic knowledge. They build confidence, creativity, and the problem solving skills they’ll carry into the future. In this video, Dr. Ghantel Perkins, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning at Crete Monee School District 201U, shares how SmartLab learning environments are expanding opportunities for students and accelerating growth through engaging, hands-on instruction.
Thanks to the generous support of the Campos Foundation and the continued partnership with SmartLab, Crete Monee continues to invest in future-ready learning across the district. With four SmartLabs now open and a fifth planned for Fall 2026, the district is creating lasting opportunities that inspire STEM identity, empower student thinking, and prepare the next generation of innovators, leaders, and change makers.
