Agenda for School Visits:

SmartLab school visits occur during the school day and typically last between 90 minutes and two hours.

The agenda will vary based on the school’s schedule, but they typically include a classroom observation, an opportunity to talk with the SmartLab facilitator and school administrator(s), and a debrief over snacks or a lite meal.

Both the Alabama STEM Council and the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative were formed to advise and support Alabama educators, students, and other stakeholders in achieving STEM success for the state of Alabama.

The Alabama STEM Council’s Scale Up program is intended to seed, jumpstart, or expand programs proven to inspire and educate PreK-12 learners.

The STEM Learning Ecosystem Planning Incentives (SLEPI) awards incentives to organizations looking to further STEM education, and workforce and economic development.

The Alabama Council of Teacher of Mathematics (ACTM) awards up to $1,500 in scholarships to learners who major in mathematics and in teacher grants to ACTM members.
